I co-founded Glen Affric Brewery in 2016 and I was responsible for all aspects of the brand development and graphical direction from the outset until my amicable departure in October 2023.

Leveraging my past as a professional landscape photographer, we developed a small notoriety early on for using striking photographs in many of the designs of our special, one-off releases - much to the contrary of our counterparts in the industry who had a more illustrative label design aesthetic.
In early 2021 a full re-brand was launched with an updated logo and art direction, focusing on using high quality photography, and utilising many of my own landscape images in the process, as the base for all designed products whether that be can labels, keg badges or marketing materials. 
This helped to elevate the brand and stand apart from many of the other breweries in the industry by having a more grownup, mature aesthetic, whilst still being playful and striking on the shelves.

Barrel Aged Series 2022
I still utilised illustration-based design, but like the photography labels, they had a more mature feel to them as the illustrations were for our exclusive range of barrel-aged beers.
